2014 WFA Independent Film Festival – Official Selections, Schedule & Tickets

2014 WFA Ind Film Festival sThe Third Annual Winter Film Awards Independent Film Festival kicks off Wednesday, February 26 2014 with a Filmmaker’s Reception & Kick-Off party at 49Grove. The weekend festival consists of three days of film screenings, discussion panels and industry networking after-parties culminating in an awards show to be held on March 1 at 230 Fifth.

The WFA Festival focuses on the diversity of independent film, and offers an exciting mixture of film genres, viewpoints and subjects in order to give attendees the opportunity to see films they might never think to seek out! This year’s selection includes 61 films from 24 countries, a mixture of narrative features, horror, animation, music videos, comedies, documentaries and shorts covering the full range of the world of independent film.

Winter Film Awards (WFA) is a volunteer-run and operated celebration of the diversity of local and international film-making. Our Mission is to recognize excellence in cinema and to promote learning and artistic expression for people at all stages of their artistic careers with a focus on nurturing emerging filmmakers and helping them gain recognition and contacts to break into this difficult industry. We pride ourselves on our diverse collection of Festival selections, allowing our audience to enjoy films they normally wouldn’t think to seek out.
