About the Challenge

WINTER FILM AWARDS challenges the local NYC community to create a 4-7 minute short film in a specified genre, tagline and prop in just a single gonzo weekend! Thirty teams of the most creative people in the tri-state area have just 48 sleepless hours to decide what they are going to do, write a screenplay, assemble props, costumes and actors, rehearse, shoot, score and edit their film. Students, amateurs, and seasoned industry veterans alike learn the importance of caffeine, team work and time management in successful filmmaking.

About Watson Adventures

Watson adventuresWatson Adventures stages fun and funny scavenger hunts designed to bring out the best in a fascinating place—and the best in your teammates. On most of the hunts, you’re not hunting for objects (drop that pigeon!) but for answers to tricky and humorous questions about the intriguing places and objects you discover. The hunts are like walking tours spiked with caffeine.

No previous knowledge is required on any of the hunts: you and your team just need a sharp mind and comfy shoes. The best teams quickly learn that they must use the strength of everyone in the group. Games typically last two hours and are played in teams of up to six people.

Watson’s scavenger hunts have been acclaimed by ABC News, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Boston Herald, the Chicago Tribune, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and numerous other media outlets. Since 1999, more than 200,000 hunters have enjoyed indoor and outdoor games in countless cities.

Public hunts are offered in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles on the weekends. Private and corporate hunts are available anywhere, anytime.

I loved your witty questions and racing through the museum. I can’t think of a better way to bring people together and have fun! — Jeff Bezos, founder & CEO,
