Born into a privileged Scottish family in 1802, Grace begins her journey through womanhood at the age of thirteen when she marries a cousin seventeen years her senior, a successful Montreal merchant. As she matures to face the challenges of marriage and motherhood, she becomes increasingly involved with the poor and dispossessed. When personal tragedy forces her return to Scotland, Grace embraces the struggle against the ethnic cleansing of the Gaelic people, sharpening her conflict with her own family and pitting her against tyrannical forces.

Jeffrey Allen Russel is a Toronto born writer and photographer. On a journey to investigate his ancestral roots in Scotland, he discovered familial ties to a bloody period in history which inspired the writing of Grace.

Lynda Lemberg is a former teacher and acting coach who has devoted her life to peace and social justice activism. Grace, Lynda’s first screenplay, has ignited Lynda’s passion for screenwriting.
